Yes. : Yes. An aneurysm can cause a stroke. There are two ways to have a stroke. A hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding) or ischemic stroke (blockage). The bigger concern with aneurysms is a hemorrhage, especially with intracranial (in the brain) aneurysms. If the aneurysm ruptures, there is bleeding in the brain and brain tissues are damaged. Aneurysms can also form clots due to low flow.
