Is tooth discoloration in children only due to tetracycline?

No: Tetracycline is not prescribed to children these days. Staining or malformation of teeth can also be due to genetic factors, medical factors, high fevers in infants / toddlers, fluorosis, etc.

Not necessary: Tooth discoloration can be caused by tetracycline in developing teeth, also Fluoride can cause teeth discoloration however once adult teeth are developed , children's should be ok.
