No: Tetracycline is not prescribed to children these days. Staining or malformation of teeth can also be due to genetic factors, medical factors, high fevers in infants / toddlers, fluorosis, etc.

Many causes: Tooth discoloration can be from a fall or trauma to the tooth. It can be caries. Was there ever a high fever before the tooth came in? It could even be stain that doesn't come off with regular brushing. The child needs to be examined by a dentist to get an accurate diagnosis. Baby teeth are important to the developing perm. 2 th. Don't ignore it.

Not necessary: Tooth discoloration can be caused by tetracycline in developing teeth, also Fluoride can cause teeth discoloration however once adult teeth are developed , children's should be ok.
