If blood sugar is kept under control are you still going to die younger than usual?

Probably not: I have many type 1 patients living into their 70s and 80s who have been on Insulin for over 50 years. Both type 1 &2 people are at risk of heart attacks so taking care of diabetes is not just blood sugar control!
