Wear gloves: Wear rubber gloves to wash dishes and protect your hands from the hot water and soaps. You may need to wear white cotton gloves inside the rubber gloves.

Special gloves: There are gloves that are made from products other than latex. Polyethylene and nitrile gloves are readily available. Polyethylene gloves are lightweight and often seen handling food. Nitrile gloves are available at costco and any retail center. They are usually grey or blue in color. Besides avoidance, the best advice is to know your allergen.
