Why do doctors use titanium in surgery instead of other metals?

Biocompatible : Titanium is durable, strong and biocompatible. Also, for dental implants, the jaw bone can grow into the titanium matrix that surrounds the implants.

Bone surgery?: I'm assuming you are referring to surgery on bones. Titanium screws and plates are used in orthopedic and oral surgery because they integrate into bone, fusing with the bone.
