A member asked:

Why do you pee more when you drink alcohol?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inhibits a hormone: Alcohol inhibits a hormone called anti-diurtetic hormone, adh (vasopressin). This hormone conserves water in the distal part of the ducts of the kidney. When one drinks alcohol this inhibits adh (vasopressin)'s effect on the kidney, meaning less water is absorbed by the body causing more urine to be produced.
