A member asked:

I have ana testing speckeled pattern, titre 1.160 and suggesting either could that include rheumatoid arthritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anti-CCP: Speckled ANA at 1:160 is generally associated with connective tissue disease. There is a better test for rheumatoid arthritis, namely anti-ccp antibody. Do you have any symptoms? Every lab test needs to interpreted in the clinical context as some tests are falsely positive. See this site for more info. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/pmh0001467/.
