What is done for pregnancy induced congestive heart failure?

Same for all CHF: Peripartum cardiomyopathy occurs rarely, but can be very dangerous, even fatal. Treatment is the same as other forms of dilated cardiomyopathy, namely beta blockers, ace inhibitors and diuretics. In most cases, heart function returns to normal within 6 months. Unfortunately, if you have it with one pregnancy, you have better than a 50% chance of having it with subsequent pregnancies!
