What can the hospital do for a hairline fracture?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Splinting/casting..: Depending on where the fracture is, treatment will vary. "hairline fracture" means just a small crack and the bone itself is pretty much intact. Splinting or casting (removable cast too) for a few wks may help. Foot/ankle fractures tend to take longer because of their weight-bearing nature. From hospital er, you likely be sent back to your doc for care. Consult doc. Good luck.
