First: File a 1st report of injury/illness with your employer. Once they inform their insurance carrier, a claim # & adjuster will be assigned your case. If you did or did not go to an er, you now must select a treating doctor who accepts worker's compensation patients. Following an evaluation, treatment for your injury will proceed. You may need an attorney to assist you in a third party suit.
