Retinal Migraine: The thought is that the same mechanism involved in the aura phase of migraine is reponsible fro retinal migraine. Think of it this way; the person has the aura but not the headache.

Unknown: If by eye migraine you mean a pain behind the eye which is usually part of migraine even when occurs in isolation, the cause is unknown just as in typical migraine. Only some triggers are known which also differ in patients.
