Possibly: The development of the vision center of a child's brain depends on input from the eyes. If a child has a 'lazy eye', it means that one of them is not properly lined up and is not getting a a good signal. As a result, the vision part of the brain connected to that eye may not properly develop, leading to a potential vision problem in an older child.
