Yes: They are custom made and will be adjusted as needed to insure your comfort.

Yes: They should. They are custom made and should fit well and comfortably after the initial adjustment phase. For people that don't wear the appliances as prescribed and wear them whenever they feel like, the fit might then be questionable, because the teeth tend to drift and move, and this passive appliance is now being made to work as an active appliance to move the teeth back into position.

They should ....: Retainers are designed to hold teeth in place. Any pressure will move teeth and any looseness will allow movement, thus a well made retainer should be passive. If you have a loose or tight retainer, see your dentist or orthodontist to evaluate it. There is a real danger in trying to wear a "tweaked" retainer. A distorted retainer can lead to an expensive re treatment of the whole case.

Retain: A retainer should fit snug, from the day it was delivered to today. Wearing it on a regular basis, will maintain tooth position that was present when it was fabricated. If you notice a change in fit, have the dr that made it for u take a look.

Absolutely: After a few days of adaptation, you should not notice their presence. Wear them EXACTLY as directed to prevent relapse. If you have any comfort issues, return to your Orthodontic Specialist immediately.
