A member asked:

When doing kegel exercises is it normal to have abdominal tension and discomfort?

No: Kegel exercises should be isolated to the muscles around your vagina, urethra, and anus. If there is abdominal tension and discomfort, you may not be tightening the right muscles. Ask your health care provider to show you which muscles should be exercised.
