Also i dont know ummm if its at all normal to get spotting with occasional abdominal discomforts here and there. like say week or so before getting the actual period. thats not a sign of anything dangerous or bad is it?

Actually this could be quite important. Any new or abnormal vaginal bleeding -- even minor spotting -- needs professional attention. This is a common symptom of inflammation of the cervix (cervicitis), which is often due to STDs like gonorrhea or chlamydia (but of course only if you're at risk of STDs).
