Yes: A surgical procedure called intacs may be an option. The right contact lens though may be the best option. A cornea specialist can review intacs with you and see if you're a candidate.

Contact lenses: Contact lenses are difficult at times to use, but most people can be trained to safely insert them. However, contact lenses do not stop the progression of keratoconus. You may want to consider crosslinking to stop the progression and potentially improve your corneal shape.

Options: The part about the contact lens, it will not heal your keratoconus. So any of the procedures(intacs or cxl) would be needed. Your doctor can teach you how to use contact lenses, you would not need hard contact lenses after intacs. And your doctor can even prescribe soft contact lens that stay in for a month so you can avoid putting and taking off.
