Bloody discharge: The pelvic exam, especially if it included a pap smear, may have caused a small amount of bleeding from the cervix which then appeared to be a short term brown discharge. The clear mucous discharge was probably normal "fertile mucous". The discharge you are describing is common after an exam and does not mean you have a problem.

Discharge: Clear mucous discharge is normal. The dark brown discharge may have been a bit of blood from the pap or pelvic mixed with your normal discharge.
