Can being incredibly sedentary in and of itself cause chronic, widesread pain mimicking fibromyalgia? if so, can you give a little insight as to how?

Possibly: Being "incredibly sedentary" as you state will weaken all of your muscles. Then when they are called upon to work harder than they are used to, they can react by causing pain. Being sedentary is not how the human body was meant to be. We are all meant to move and be physically active.

Sedentary is bad: ? If being "incredibly sedentary" can cause chronic widespread pain "mimicking fibromyalgia (FM)". Deconditioned pained soft tissues common amongst FM sufferers and, to my clinical observations, is one of the primary causal factors for evolution of FM. Deconditioning can advance to stage whereby sufferer is unable to leave the bed. Aquatherapy, whereby gravity is negated, can be efficacious.
