A member asked:

Ultrasound for gallbladder said i had mild fatty liver i am scared also could that be autoimmune hepatitis instead?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Just fatty liver: The most likely diagnosis would still be just fatty liver, as this is being recognized more and more frequently in this country. Autoimmune hepatitis is a separate entity that is diagnosed with serology and liver biopsy. If you have fatty liver or "non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, " just optimize your weight and exercise regularly. Avoid alcohol and any other hepatotoxic agents.
