Sleepin: Many different classes of medications help with sleep onset...Benzodiazepines, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants among others. In my opinion it is difficult for patients to change my personal prescribing habits. I have a pattern based on experience and choice. I would recommend nonmedication addressing of issues related to sleep first anyway - habits, hygiene, etc.
