A member asked:

What are some sleeping medicines in the 90s that would have contained barbiturates or still do. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

None: Barbiturates for sleep were long gone by the 1990s, having been replaced decades earlier by much safer benzodiazepines ("benzos") and other prescription sleep aids. Barbiturates are still prescribed for certain types of seizure, for migraine headaches, occasionally to treat withdrawal from other drugs, and for other purposes. But not sleep.
