A member asked:

If i had a reaction to penicillin when i was a child , does that mean i have a allergy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe, maybe not: There have been studies of adults that were told or thought they had reactions to penicillin as children & the majority were not allergic on testing. Until you decide to have the testing done, you should consider yourself allergic & have it listed in your records.
