Best OTC insole: For achilles tendinitis i often recommend an of the shelf insole. I am not a dr. Scholls fan since they don't offer good control. I recommend powerstep, spenco, and superfeet.

No: You really need to see a doctor.If you are going to use an orthotic it needs to be firm and be able to elevate the heel.
