should you have a lot of white cervical mucus the day before you are scheduled to start your period also my cervix is hard to reach and soft/firm?

Cervix: Cervical mucus may change throughout the menstrual cycle as a means of preparing for fertilization. Your cervix shouldn't normally be easy to reach. Not sure why you would want or need to check your own cervix.
