Depends: Psoas abscesses seldom occur as primary lesions. They are a result of some other underlying infectious process. Time to cure is dependent on eradication of the primary problem, the nature of the organism involved and the type of therapy given. It is curable, but suggest strongly that you be seen by an infectious diseases consultant.

Yes: Depends on organism 6m onths if organism sensitive to antibx if organism is resistant maybe not curable like methecylin resistant staph aureus MRSA or resistant TB but usual suspect very curable like staph a. 6months.
