A member asked:

Why is my (mid) chest beating abruptly where my liver is? pulse normal. 42years. thumping every 30 sec.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Every 30 sec cannot: Be related to your heart as heart rate is about 60- beats or thereabouts in 60 seconds. Got to be muscle twitch from any of the chest wall, viz., pectorals or intercostals. May also be abdominal muscles as you said close to your liver, viz., rectus, oblique or transverses muscles. An exercise program related to these muscles may relieve your symptoms.
