Pain and numbness: This is most likely peripheral neuropathy. It is most common in diabetics and in patients with spinal nerve compression, however, there are many other causes which may be underlying the symptoms. Start with a podiatrist and have the condition diagnosed.

Couple of things: It could be neuropathy or nerve compression or neuroma. See a doctor.
