Ingrown nail: unless it was really infected, probably not. maybe would make your toe numb.

It shouldn't: A lot of swelling from an ingrown toenail could cause some temporary numbness. If it lasts more than a few days you should see a podiatrist.

Ingrown: You should seek medical attention for this, because more often than not the nail needs to be cut out. In the mean time soak your toe in warm water and epson salt and apply Bacitracin and cover with a band aid until you can see a doctor.
