A member asked:

My wife has diverticulosis, would eaing strawberries cause a problem?

Probably not: Some doctors still recommend avoiding small seeds in those with diverticulosis. I am not her treating physician, so my opinion may not be the best for her. While a few seeds are not likely to be an issue, as reported in a recent british study, it would be best and wisest to follow your own doctor's recommendations on dietary items.

No: There are no diet restrictions - period. Tell her to go strawberry picking this weekend.

They're fine.: Strawberries shouldn't cause any problem in the context of diverticulosis.
