Possible + unlikely: Most vaginal yeast infection is just that. It is very unusual to have diabetes present with yeast infection because blood sugar is so frequently measured. May consider measuring fasting blood glucose once. Dm is only partly genetic. You are at more risk than the average jane but certainly not doomed. Eat a healthy diet, stay at a healthy weight and exercise regularly.

It's possible: Get blood glucose monitor over-the-counter in pharmacy. Check sugar after overnight fast- if<100, not diabetic; if 100-126 pre diabetic; if >126 diabetic. Or check 2 hours after eating if <140, not diabetic; 140-199 prediabetic; if>200 , diabetic.
