A member asked:

Would a supplement that stimulates the liver to produce more igf 1 be harmful to people with hep c. (particulary genf20plus - hgh releaser)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

To anyone: Increasing igf-1 levels beyond normal is an invitation for potential disaster. Igf-1 has been identified as a major growth factor involved in at least breast, prostate, and colon cancers. Even in patients who are truly deficient in gh, igf-1 levels are carefully monitored. Unless you're involved in a study protocol with an academic research center, please don't try this at home.
