Yes: Hormonal therapy (including megace (megestrol), (megestrol) tamoxifen) can be used in the treatment of certain endometrial cancers which have recurred or spread to other sites. Patients with tumors positive for the Progesterone receptor especially may respond to megace (megestrol).

Megace (megestrol) Treatment: Megace (megestrol) has been used as an adjunct to treat advanced endometrial cancer, in addition to primary treatment protocols. The precise mechanism of its antineoplastic effect is unknown, but presumably , it decreases estrogen levels in the body by interacting with the pituitary gonadal axis, and estrogen is known to stimulate some sub types of sensitive endometrial cancer cells.
