Cover / See the doc.: If the wound is infected, and if the infection spreads it could lead to a deep bone infections which an be quite serious. Keep the open wound covered and see the doctor as soon as possible to prevent complications.

Always cover: Any type of wound should be covered. It helps keep the wound bed moist which will help with healing. If you think the wound looks infected then you should see a physician because you may need to get on antibiotics.
