Most resolves: High blood pressure caused by pregnancy - gestational hypertension, preeclampsia - will resolve after pregnancy. In most cases it resolves within a few days. Other cases can take up to six weeks. If high blood pressure does not resolve then you most likely have chronic hypertension and not high blood pressure induced by pregnancy.

Perhaps not: Many metabolic changes occur during pregnancy, most of which resolve by a few weeks to months after delivery. They may be indicators of subsequent risk of having recurrent issues in the future, so follow up with your doctors. You will most likely be just fine. Just make sure you lose the weight you gained, and keep fit!
