Get evaluated.: After having a Foley catheter for over a week, the bladder could be irritated or inflamed, provoking bladder spasms. These spams are uncontrolled contractions of the bladder, and can lead to urinary leakage. This should improve with time. A urinary infection is also a possibility, which can provoke leakage and should be treated. See the urologist for evaluation.

?More than a scope: Cystoscopy is a telescopic examination of bladder and urethra, including prostate. Foley in place for 10 days suggests that father had cystoscopic surgery. Incontinence may be temporary from infection present from before cysto or from Foley itself. Permanent loss of control could be a result of surgery ? Unavoidable or complication. Needs urine test for infection - best discuss with his urologist.
