A member asked:

Always have a kidney infection, and my dr only gives me antibiotics. but what is causing these chronically? im afraid of the damage its causing.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Kidney infection: Kidney and bladder infections are very different. They are treated in a similar manner but a kidney infection is associated with high fever and one sided back pain near the ribs. A bladder infection is associated with low back pain, frequency of urination/pain with urination and low grade fever. An untreated bladder infection can lead to a kidney infection or a kidney infection can be blood born.
