Antipsychotic med: Invega (paliperidone) is a once a day atypical antipsychotic medication that is taken orally. Invega Sustenna (paliperidone Palmitate) is an extended release injection suspension that is used once a month or once every 3 months. Both have FDA approved indications for acute & maintenance treatment of schizophrenia, & acute treatment of schizoaffective disorder.
