Go see ur Family Doc: Before jumping to enemas, look for other lifestyle options to manage/resolve constipation: increase fiber, fluids & physical activity. Failing that, consider stool softeners. If that doesn't work (or if taking opioids regularly), then consider laxatives. Regarding types of enemas, check out http://www.atitesting.com/ati_next_gen/skillsmodules/content/enemas/accepted-practice/types_of_enemas.html
