Is it better for ego to take menial low-wage job or wait for decent job at 60?

Up to you: A job doesn't define who you are as a person or your quality or value. This is a decision that you'll need to make for yourself based on your values, desires, and resources. There is nothing wrong with any job. You'll decide what makes sense for you. But, your performance on the job is more important than the title or job itself. Perhaps you could do both.
