A member asked:

How do you fully recover from a major illness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: On what it means to fully recover, and what kind of major illness a person dealing with. Having a major illness is a crisis in life, and as in any crisis, people should get emotional/psychological support, either from friends, family or a therapist. Sometimes, in the attempt to get back to their former state, they can become impatient and push themselves too hard, which slows the healing process.
