See an orthodontist: An orthodontist is a dentist who specializes in tooth movement and the correction of occlusion (the bite). Many general dentists (regular dentists) do not correct misaligned teeth. Still there are many general dentists who perform this kind of treatment. Although i would recommend you see a dentist who specializes in orthodontics.

Do your research: There are many general dentists that perform orthodontics. And depending on your situation may even be a better choice for you. However i advise you to ask the general dentist on what kind of experience they have had with your situation and what kind of training they have had. And do shop around to get a feel of which dentist is right for you.

Ask your Dentist: A slight overbite is something that can be corrected by a knowledgable gp who is certified in invisalign or 6 month smiles. Most responsible gps would refer more complex bite problems to an orthodontist.

Surgery: Restorative solution to overbite usually means surgery, changing shape of teeth and possibly gums. Non-surgical correction is done via orthodontic treatment with braces, or less successfully with clear aligners. See a restorative dentist and an orthodontic specialist for consultations, then you can make a knowledgeable decision.
