Could be: Most of us walk around in a state of denial until something happens that demonstrates that bad things can occur--people with traumatic childhoods learn this early in life--perhaps u had experiences that justify your fears.

There isn't a way: That i can assess your depth of fear using this format. Also can't get a sense of how reality based this is and if degree of fear in at a reasonable level. If this is negatively impacting your life - would encourage you to see a psychologist or therapist who does cognitive behavioral therapy. They can assess if you concerns are rational ; assist you.
