Seek counseling: At 33 year-old you know that no body has a right to hurt you and you should not let any one hurt you. Please seek counseling. Contact a shelter for battered/abused women. There is no shame in seeking help. You have most of your adult like ahead of you, take charge. I wish you the best and courage to deal with this terrible issue.

Urgent you seek help: You have a basic human right not to have this being done to you -- even if you are in a "traditional society." Contact a local women's shelter or the police or another group and come up with a plan to escape. Do NOT tell him you are leaving until you're safely gone. Be strong and know that you're entitled not to be abused.
