A member asked:

Could torticollis be caused by sleeping wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

True torticollis: Is not caused by sleeping wrong. It is a shortening of the neck muscle called the sternocleidomastoid. A crick n the neck leading to spasm and shortening from spasm can also be called torticollis so the answer to your question is a technical yes. Ibuprofen helps for spasm and physical therapy and stretching help for true congenital torticollis.
