It is treatable: Cure maybe not, but effective treatment is available. Several forms of psychotherapy including dialectic behavior therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy work but are often demanding of the patient. In looking for a therapist be sure to look for someone knowledgeable about bpd; therapist without specific training often have a hard time with these patients.

DBT: Dialectical behavior therapy, or dbt, has proven highly effective for individuals with bpd. Medication to manage the moods is a great/sometimes necessary adjunct.
