Good shoes: Most arthritis in the foot is aggravated with increased activity. This is due to increased movement of the arthritic joint(s). Limiting the movement of the joint(s) can be very helpful. Usually a thicker, stiffer soled shoe with good support will help. Sometimes a custom orthotic will be helpful. Dr l.

Knowing what the : Nature of the arthritic condition is i.E what joint or bone we are discussing would be helpful in making recommendations but, orthotic therapy is often helpful, physical therapy, typical voltaren (diclofenac) gel, a tens nit if no contraindications, warm water soaks in epsom salt to name a few ideas.
