Can you still have gallstones without your gallbladder?

Possible not in GB: Once gall bladder is out , no more gall bladder stones, before removal small stones could be moved into bile ducts, called retained stones, very rarely stones ( primary stones ) could form in side liver ducts.

Possibly: The usual culprit here is that gallstones got out of the gallbladder before it was removed, even during the surgery. Rarely gallstones can form in the bile ducts, usually when there is inflammation of the liver/bile ducts (called cholangitis). Gallstones can often be removed with a procedure called an ERCP, which is an outpatient procedure similar to an endoscopy.
