No.: Statin pain is statin myaglia, not pain in the joint. But then, "hip" pain is not where most people think, ie. In the groin, and down the anterolateral side of the thigh to above the knee. Buttock pain may be muscular, and this could be statin myalgia. But statins do not cause arthritis!
