No, fever?: If fever or back pain, you may need IV antibiotics for kidney infection since you need to keep antibiotics to benefit from them. If only usual UTI without fever or back pain then you may try another oral antibiotic that you can tolerate better. In short, vomiting could mean kidney or blood infection in the setting of fever/back pain or could mean antibiotic intolerance.
