May be recurrence: Some tomes hernia recur in few, you have recurrence repair broke down ) see your doctor for examination , if it is due symptoms you have will need surgical repair again.

Coul be a recurrence: A muscle strain or recurrent hernia are both possibilities. You would need a physical exam to sort it out. I would suggest a general surgeon with a specific interest in hernia disease.
